Merry Christmas

So I did indeed get my Stampin Up order before Christmas. Yay I have yet to really use anything because Christmas really snuck up on me. We are hosting a Christmas get together with the family on Saturday and well my house needs a good cleaning. I hope to post some pics in a couple of days.

I love a Deal

Stampin Up has posted the retirement list and is offering 10% until 12/23/08. Not only that but there is free shipping for orders over $70. How cool is that? Now, I am a hobby demo and I do keep my sets that I love so I am taking advantage of the discount to get a couple of sets that I was on the fence about. I am getting Merry & Bright for Gabrielle's stocking and Warm Words which was on the dormant list. I think that Warm Words might be Kristina Werner's handwriting and I just love her. Check out her blog kwernerdesign I have a link over to the side. She posts challenges and youtube tutorials and she is a Stampin Up graphic artist. Her warm personality is very evident when you see her videos.
So today is the cutoff for ordering stuff that will get here before Christmas. Well so they say, I always get stuff late because I live on the East Coast but it would be a nice surprise if it does come in time.
I ordered the Holiday Trinkets from the Holiday Mini so that I could have a craft going for my family Christmas gathering. We are holding it the Saturday after Christmas this year. I was too frazzled with school this semester to even have my decorating done. I am slowly getting it done.
I also forgot that there is another promotion as well. The catalog sampler spec1al for December 1 - January 18 is spend $20 and get 20% off any stamp set in the sampler. I should have looked at that before I sent out my order oh well!

Semester end

I had a tough time adjusting to college. I learned that I have to be more organized and that I really have to set boundaries in order for this to be the positive experience that I had been looking forward to. So one down seven more to go, (if you count this summer as one).

I will finally get to start stampin again.

Stampin gift ideas

Stampin Up has put together a holiday gift list by price. I think it is a pretty cool list so I linked it here:

It would be good stocking stuffers or Pollyanna gift ideas to bring out the creativity in your family, friends and coworkers. There is nothing like grooming others to join in our addictions hahaha

papers never stop

I am working on my papers. I will have some wedding photos to upload this weekend. My step daughter is getting married on Saturday. I think that I will settle down after this weekend and really concentrate on getting everything done.

My bible study is close to finishing Phillipians. I was reading yesterday and was struck by 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I was reading the footnote in my husband's bible and it suggested to memorize this verse. I guess that it what I should be doing huh?

I really miss my stampin time. I have new stamps sets that are still not mounted. I have been filling in the photos for the scrap book that I am sending my father. So I have been somewhat productive.

See you soon. That is if anyone is still visiting. I need to get working on this site. Hmm maybe Mel or Laura can direct me?

HOLIDAY MINI

So the holiday mini sales period started today. I did order a few things to start me out. And of course I had to order my Owls and Coneflowers from the "big book." That sounds so funny to me like I need a 12 step fellowship for my stamin addiction.

Anywhooo, can you tell I really want those owls. Here's the link for the Holiday mini. There are two prices listed because you can order from the website at the higher price or you can order from a demo (like me) and get the discount rate. Sweet. I don't have an official website yet though, yet.

EQUINOX EGG

So Gabrielle was very egg-cited to try this out. Her teacher told her that a raw egg will stand on its end today because of the fall equinox. Cool huh?

The paper has been started

I went ot the library today to order my books from Paley to be delivered to Ambler. This is big for me. I was able to get two books today to start the process. I am a Temple Owl again BTW. I stopped down to the Medical Center to see if the nurses who took care of me while I was pregnant during my undergrad were still there but they both retired.

Stampin Up has a new sets called Owl Together Now. (The Beatles song is going on in my head) I have that on my next order because I am a Temple Owl again. I also am ordering a fabulous set that features coneflowers. The picture I uploaded is of my mango coneflowers that have managed to survive my neglect. So that is the inspiration for my next card. Which I will get to in October once I receive my next order. I have to wait for a new quarter so that it counts. I am so pathetic.

SHTICKERS

So I decided to go with shtampin cheryl because I like the alliteration and it is an in joke between my sister Anne and myself. We used to crack ourselves up listening to Charlie Sheen say "shtickers" in a Public Service Announcement from the nineties. I think it was for poison control or something along those lines. Oh well tiny things amuse tiny minds. . .

I am still freaking out about all the reading and writing that is due.

I Need Motivation

So this is my first post because well it looks so blank there staring up at me. I am working on my first paper for my Social Policy class and I was just thinking that my screen was very bare just like my blog. . . so there you go I had a reason to avoid starting my paper, again!

I am a Stampin Up Hobby demonstrator which means that I stay in business by purchasing my minimums myself. I love Stampin Up paper. Everything coordinates and it takes ink so well (duh it is a stamp company). So I have a stock pile of paper that I am going to find creative ways to use. I will upload some stuff pretty soon.

I am really quite nervous to do demonstrations with adults so I mainly do projects at my daughter's class at school. The kids are so enthusiastic and they help me practice my teaching skills.
